About the Artist:

Raised in Ogden, Utah with both parents medical professionals, Kristin was intent on a degree in Nursing. After one art class turned into many, she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Fine Art from Utah State University. Pottery, painting, then finally landing in the Printmaking Department. Later, she earned a Special Education certification and spent some years teaching junior high. After a painful wait to become a mother, She believed art was the sacrifice required in exchange. She buried the identity of artist for 10 years until a college mentor involved her in a print exchange. Art has become a daily and professional practice centered around her family and finding awe in ordinary.
