About the Artwork: These illuminated letters were inspired by my fascination with medieval manuscripts, particularly historiated initials and marginalia. Parts of the design were based on actual images found in medieval manuscripts, mingled with modern patterns and motifs. All of the these were created using gouache, watercolor, micron pens, and gold acrylic.
